Brexit implications on sport

A recent news piece was done by the BBC on the implications on reverting to a hard border on Northern Ireland / Ireland. The news piece focused on the sports team I play for – the Donegal Derry Vipers

The team is split fairly evenly between players from the south – mostly from Letterkenny in Donegal and throughout the northwest of the North – ranging as far as Strabane to Limavady.  A return to a hard border would be catastrophic for the team and the city as a whole.

The whole issue of Brexit, especially in Northern Ireland and in an area like Derry / Londonderry which has received vital EU support in the past, has resulted in a mess which will likely take at least a decade to resolve. I might post my overall thoughts on it in another post.
